Nashville’s Metro is expected to start looking for a firm that will scout out locations and ideas for a new ballpark for the Nashville Sounds. The first step in building a new ballpark would be to find the best locations and then to review proposed ideas and plans for each of these sites in order to find the best one.

While the current and previous owners of the Nashville Sounds are looking at a former thermal-energy site as a proposed ball park location, the Mayor and other city leaders would rather put a new ballpark on the old Sulphur Dell property, as it was once the heart of baseball in the city.
