Out of salad dressing? No problem.

How many times have you prepared a nice salad, only to go to the fridge for some dressing that unbeknownst to you is not there.  Ugh!  I’m a last minute food shopper and unfortunately that occurance is not rare.  Well, I think I have a new solution to that dilemma (besides keeping my cupbards packed with dressing).  I just found this “do-it-yourself” dressing recipe online that uses pretty common ingredients.  It sounds like it could be tasty, but I won’t know until I try it.  Check it out yourself when you get a chance and let me know what you think!

‘Out of Salad Dressing’ Salad Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lemons, juiced
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Mix together lemon juice, parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and mayonnaise until smooth.
  2. Stir in milk, adjusting the amount or adding a little water, to make the dressing as thin or thick as you like. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight.
